Connecting your WordPress site

Connecting binds your WordPress site to a site in your Voris account, so Voris knows where incoming data belongs. You connect once, on the Tools → Voris screen. Until you connect, the plugin sends nothing to Voris.

There are two ways to connect: in one click, or by pasting your site ID. Both end in the same place.

Option 1 — Connect in one click (recommended)

  1. Go to Tools → Voris in your WordPress admin.
  2. Click Connect to Voris.
  3. A Voris approval page opens in a new tab. Sign in if you are not already, choose the site you want this WordPress install to report to, and approve.
  4. The tab hands control back to WordPress, and the plugin stores the connection for you. No copying or pasting.
  5. Click Save. Tracking starts immediately.

This uses a one-click OAuth handshake with Voris (app.voris.ai). WordPress never sees your Voris password, and Voris only gains permission to receive this site’s analytics — nothing else in your account.

If you do not have a Voris site yet, you can create one during the approval step and connect it in the same flow.

Option 2 — Paste your site ID

Prefer to do it by hand? You can enter the site ID directly.

  1. In Voris, open the site you want to connect and go to Site settings. Copy the site ID — it looks like 3f2504e0-4f89-41d3-9a0c-0305e82c3301.
  2. In WordPress, go to Tools → Voris, paste the ID into the site ID field, and click Save.

Tracking starts as soon as you save. The site ID is the same value the manual <script> snippet uses in its data-site-id attribute.

Confirm data is flowing

After saving:

  1. Open your site in a new incognito window and load any page.
  2. In Voris, look at the live indicator at the top of your dashboard — a green dot with an event count means data is arriving.

If you have a page cache (many WordPress hosts and plugins do), the tag reaches new visitors only once the cached HTML is refreshed. Purge your cache after connecting so every page carries the tag. The plugin reminds you of this whenever you save.

Your plan usage, on the settings screen

Once connected, the Tools → Voris screen shows your current usage against your Voris plan, with a nudge as you get close to your limit. These figures come from Voris (app.voris.ai), so if you upgrade your plan the new limit is reflected without updating the plugin.

Billing stays in Voris. No payment or checkout ever happens inside WordPress — the plugin only reads your plan so it can show usage and warn you in good time. To change plans, use your Voris account.

Changing or disconnecting

  • To pause tracking without losing your connection, turn off tracking on the settings screen (or deactivate the plugin). Nothing is deleted.
  • To point this site at a different Voris site, reconnect with the other site — one-click again, or paste the new site ID.
  • To remove everything, uninstall the plugin. See what uninstalling removes.
