Voris for WordPress

The Voris plugin connects your WordPress site to Voris without editing a theme, pasting a snippet into a code-snippets plugin, or losing your setup on the next theme update. Install it, connect in one click, and pageviews and Core Web Vitals start flowing. If you run WooCommerce, it also reports store revenue from your server, so sales are counted even behind a cache or an ad-blocker.

Do I need the plugin?

No — it is a convenience, not a requirement. You can always add Voris to WordPress the manual way by pasting the <script> snippet into your theme’s head, exactly as you would on any site (see Install tracking). The plugin exists so you do not have to:

  • It connects in one click instead of copying a site ID.
  • It survives theme updates — the snippet lives in the plugin, not in a theme file you might overwrite.
  • It reports WooCommerce revenue from the server, which a browser snippet cannot do reliably.
  • It shows your plan usage on the settings screen, with a nudge as you approach your limit.

If you do not use WooCommerce and are comfortable editing your theme, the manual snippet is perfectly fine. Most WordPress users find the plugin simpler.

Requirements

  • WordPress 6.6 or newer
  • PHP 8.1 or newer
  • A Voris account and at least one site. If you do not have one yet, start with Getting started — you can create the site first and connect it here, or create it during the connect step.
  • WooCommerce is optional. Commerce features simply do not appear without it, and nothing errors.

Install and activate

You can install the plugin two ways.

From a plugin ZIP (available today):

  1. Download the Voris plugin ZIP  — a file named voris.zip.
  2. In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
  3. Choose voris.zip and click Install Now.
  4. Click Activate.

From the WordPress plugin directory (once Voris is listed there):

  1. In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New.
  2. Search for Voris.
  3. Click Install Now, then Activate.

Activating the plugin does not send anything to Voris on its own. Nothing is tracked until you connect your site in the next step.

Open the Voris screen

After activating, go to Tools → Voris in your WordPress admin. Everything the plugin does lives on this one screen: connect your site, confirm it is live, control tracking, choose what happens to your data on uninstall, and read in plain language exactly what is shared with Voris.

The screen used to live under Settings in very early versions. From version 0.1.1 onward it is under Tools → Voris.

Deactivating and uninstalling

  • Deactivating the plugin stops tracking and never deletes anything. Reactivate and your connection is still there.
  • Uninstalling (deleting the plugin) removes everything the plugin stored. If you would rather keep your settings for later, tick Keep my settings if I uninstall Voris on the settings screen before you delete.
