The Campaigns report
If you tag the links you share — in newsletters, ads, social posts — with UTM parameters, the Campaigns report is where those tags come to life. It groups your traffic by each part of a UTM tag, so you can see which campaigns, which sources, and even which specific ad creatives are actually sending you visitors.
This is being rolled out gradually, so it may not be switched on for your account yet. It only appears when you are signed in — it never shows on a public or shared dashboard.
A one-minute refresher on UTM tags
A UTM-tagged link looks like this:
https://yoursite.com/pricing?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=spring-sale&utm_content=header-buttonEach utm_... piece answers a different question:
| Tag | Answers | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Source | Where did the link live? | newsletter, twitter, google |
| Medium | What kind of channel? | email, social, cpc |
| Campaign | Which campaign? | spring-sale |
| Term | Which keyword? (usually paid search) | privacy-analytics |
| Content | Which version of the link? | header-button, footer-link |
You add these to the links you share. Voris reads whatever tags arrive and groups your visits by them. You don’t have to tag every link — untagged visits simply don’t show up here (they’re still counted everywhere else on your dashboard).
Using the report
Open the Campaigns report and use the switcher at the top to pick which part of the UTM tag you want to break traffic down by:
Source · Medium · Campaign · Term · Content
Switch between them freely — the ranked list re-sorts for whichever one you pick. Term and Content are the two newest views; if you run paid search or A/B-test your link creatives, they let you see performance at that finer grain for the first time.
Links that arrived without a value for the part you’re viewing are grouped into a single (none) row, shown at the bottom so it never crowds out your tagged campaigns.
The two “empty” states
The report is careful to tell you why it’s empty, because the two reasons are very different:
- “No UTM campaigns tagged” — you have traffic, but none of it carried UTM tags in this period. Nothing is broken or switched off. Tag a link you share and it will show up here.
- A genuine zero — for the specific view and period you picked, there simply were no matching visits.
Works in every privacy mode
Unlike some reports, the Campaigns report works the same in Mode A and Mode B. UTM tags come from the link’s own URL, not from anything about the visitor, and Voris scrubs any personal data out of them when it collects them — so campaign reporting is available whichever privacy mode your site is on.
